NARROWSBURG, NY — TESS Mainstreet, a gallery, announced its second in a series of artist pop-ups; this event features the work of Ioannis “Yanni” Glykokokalos (1937-2017) and will be launched with an opening reception on Saturday, February 10 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. 

Known for having more than 50 one-man shows, as well as work that has been included in more than 500 private, corporate and museum collections, “Nudes” will share Glykokokalos’s depictions of the human form.

“Painting for me is what yeast is to bread,” the artist once wrote. “A good painting should be fresh and unpredictable, with the tension and reality of a compressed spring.” 

The TESS Mainstreet pop-up will run through March 17, Fridays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., or by chance or appointment. “Nudes” will run concurrently with the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance’s shows by Cadence Giersbach and Walter Parti.
