MILFORD, PA — The Pike County Historical Society and Museum (PCHS) will show its next 1950s horror film, “Invasion of the Saucer-Men,” at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17 in the Foundations Room at the Columns Museum.
When a flying saucer lands in the woods, a teenage couple accidentally runs down one of the saucer’s occupants. Rather than assume responsibility for letting their incapacitated friend lie in the road, the aliens decide to let the kids take the fall.
A drunken con man stumbles across the alien’s corpse after the teenagers head to town to report the accident, and as one does, he decides to store the dead alien in his fridge. (Apparently the rationale is fame and fortune, and not a future meal.)
The plot gets more complicated when the aliens arrive at the con man’s house to retrieve their dead friend. There is death, mishandling of bodies, and a severed alien arm that strolls through the woods.
Seating is limited and fills up fast, so reservations are required.
The cost is $35 per person, and includes dinner, dessert, a libation and the movie.
