SCRANTON, PA — Calling all train fans! Steamtown National Historic Site will hold express excursions and holiday events throughout the season.

Holiday Express excursions to Moscow, PA will run on Friday, November 24 and Saturday, November 25. Two trips are offered each day, one from 9:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and one from 1:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. Tickets are available through recreation.gov.

On Saturday, December 2, Santa Claus will travel by rail aboard the Santa Train to visit Carbondale, Archbald, Jessup, Olyphant, Dickson City and Scranton. Santa’s last stop is Steamtown, arriving around 3 p.m.

The North Pole Limited, an event sponsored by the Iron Horse Society, will take place on Saturdays and Sundays, December 9, 10, 16, 17, 22 and 23.

Tickets cost $24 for adults, $14 for children aged three to 12 and $2 for infants aged two and under.
