Growing Barryville’s downtown—with coffee

BARRYVILLE, NY — “We’re so excited to be opening a second location in Barryville,” said Martin Higgins, co-proprietor of 2 Queens Coffee. “It’s such a great community. We love it!”

And if the warm welcome on April 1 for a ribbon cutting, sponsored by the Greater Barryville Chamber of Commerce, is any indication, the feeling is mutual.

“We used to carry their coffee,” said ribbon cutting chair Johnny Pizzolato. “And people were clammoring for it. So this business collaboration makes everybody stronger. Many of the river towns have the same need so it’s great that we’re fostering collaborations and creating hubs. We’re so excited with this first inaugural one.”

The shop is located at the former site of the Bang Bang Bar at the Stickett Inn on Route 97  across from Barryville General.
