MILFORD, PA — Grey Towers National Historic Site (Grey Towers) has joined social media with an account on X (the former Twitter). 

This is a first of its kind for the site, which is managed by the U.S. Forest Service. Grey Towers is now able to get information out to the public and local officials in real-time, officials said.  

“Social media allows us to share our mission and the story of the Pinchot conservation legacy to a broad and diverse audience,” said Jared Simister, interpretive center director at Grey Towers. 

The site has trails, a conference and leadership center, ticketed mansion tours and a gift shop, and it hosts several events every season.

The X account will highlight news, changes in tour schedules, popular site activities, hazards, weather delays and closures. 

The page will also feature news and posts from partnership organizations and other U.S. Forest Service units.
