GAIT completes drainage project

MILFORD, PA — With generous funding from Greater Pike Community Foundation’s Richard L.Snyder Fund, GAIT Therapeutic Riding Center has addressed on-site water drainage issues at its facility on Foster Hill Road and initiated ongoing improvements to ensure a safe and reliable outdoor arena surface for horses and program participants. Greater Pike funding also supported the purchase of new equine safety helmets for riders.

GAIT completed this ambitious project on time and on budget to enhance year-round community health and wellness initiatives, services and programs. The work supports GAIT’s mission of improving the quality of life of children and adults with special needs through equine activities and therapies—helping people live more independent lives.

Two local businesses provided GAIT with supplemental support: D&S Hauling and Aquaflow Pump & Supply Co. (aquaflow.com). The Equus Foundation also recently provided GAIT with essential funding for horse care (equusfoundation.org).
