Free concert: ‘Evolution of the Double Bass’

NARROWSBURG, NY AND MONTICELLO, NY — The Sullivan County Chamber Orchestra (SCCO) will present a free concert, titled “The Evolution of the Double Bass” in Narrowsburg at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 17 at the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA); and again in Monticello on Monday, March 18 at 6 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church.

The concerts feature Andrew Trombley on double bass and Daniel Colalillo on piano. 

The program will include Giovanni Pergolesi’s Sinfonia in F Major, Lee Hoiby’s “Three Songs for Double Bass and Piano” and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Cello Sonata Op.5, No. 2 in G minor. 

This concert is a free performance underwritten by Nesin Cultural Arts and Trombley Music Studio. 

The DVAA performance will be held in the Gloria Krause Recital Hall, 37 Main St. in Narrowsburg. The St. John’s Episcopal Church is located at 15 St. John St. in Monticello.
