MONTICELLO, NY — Sullivan County manager Joshua Potosek has appointed Anna-Marie Novello the new commissioner of the Office of Management & Budget and Lucrezia Anderson as the new budget director.

Novello has served the county for 10 years, including as account clerk, financial/budget analyst and, most recently, senior budget analyst. In that role she oversaw the payroll of 1,000 county employees, analyzed financial trends, ensured budget compliance and maintained the timekeeping system. As the budget commissioner she will oversee 19 people. Novello lives in Monticello.

Anderson joined the Sullivan County government in 2010 as a senior accountant in the treasurer’s office. After a stint as the Town of Wallkill’s chief fiscal officer, she returned to Sullivan as a senior accountant in the budget office. She has been keeping track of the legislature’s Discretionary Grants Program and the various Local Development Corporations. She trains fiscal staff, analyzes the county’s financial policies and submits the necessary data to receive federal and state reimbursements. Anderson lives in Bloomingburg.
