Fight inhumane clothing production practices—swap your stuff

SHOHOLA, PA — The Barryville Area Arts Association (BAAA) will hold a clothing swap from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 19 at the Artists’ Market Community Center.

Despite industry claims of progress, most clothing is still produced under inhumane working conditions using non-biodegradable synthetics that end up in a landfill, a BAAA spokesman said.

Clothing swaps can help combat these harmful systems while you refresh your wardrobe, develop your personal style and meet new people—without spending anything.

Complimentary refreshments are available at the clothing swap.

The Artists’ Market Community Center is located at 114 Richardson Ave.

The event is free but registration is required. Email barryvilleareaarts@gmail.com.
