I hope you all had a great Fourth of July and took advantage of the numerous events and activities that were taking place throughout the county.

Be sure to spend time by Lake Huntington, patronizing our shops/stores/businesses such as Lakeview Pizzeria, Lake Huntington Garage, American Electric, Yoga by the Lake, Esselman Sewer & Drain, Firehouse Antiques, Hennings Local and so many more!

Save the date for the Cochecton Youth Group Yard Sale on Saturday, July 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cochecton Town Hall. Vendors needed—call/text Michelle for more info at 570/419-8801.

There are many activities happening in and about our community in the upcoming weeks. Have a look at a few below:

The Jeffersonville Presbyterian Church is having a penny social on Saturday, July 29. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and calling is at 12:30 p.m. Admission costs $1 and includes a drink and dessert. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Contact 570/903-7079 with any questions.

Hector’s Inn ninth annual car show takes place on Saturday, July 29 at 12 noon. All vehicles are welcome. If it has wheels, bring it on in! No judging of cars, no entry fee. Just people with the same interests as you... here to share their cars and stories. No car, no worries... stop by to check out the vehicles and vendors; listen to the music. Food will be available. Free admission.

Resilient Sullivan seeks community participation; help our county build capacity to withstand extreme weather events and economic shocks, adapt to a changing environment, and plan new infrastructure with resiliency in mind.

Sullivan County is developing a comprehensive resiliency plan, looking at the interconnectedness of the county's natural resources, economy and people. Stakeholders and community members are invited to participate in developing shared goals around resiliency.
