SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — Sullivan 180 has announced the first of the Healthier Generation School Grant recipients for the 2023-2025 grant cycle.
The $4,000 grant supports initiatives that bring awareness and advance goals of the district’s wellness policy within a particular school building.
The following nine Sullivan County schools have been awarded grants. Schools are listed, along with the programs for which they received funding.
Additional Healthier Generation Grant recipients will be announced over the coming weeks.
George Ross Mackenzie Elementary: Outdoor learning space
Benjamin Cosor Elementary: Gaga ball pot
Liberty Elementary: Nutrition/ cafeteria updates
Liberty Middle School: Walking classroom/yoga
Liberty High School: Outdoor adventure curriculum
Livingston Manor Elementary: Staff mindfulness/meditation
Robert J. Kaiser Middle School: Spartan Club 2.0
Roscoe Central School: Stencils and affirmation signage
Sullivan West Elementary: PE/Indoor recess expansion
