FALLSBURG, NY — On September 20, DEC Division of Law Enforcement Director Karen Przyklek, Colonel James Boylan, Major Brian Gillis, Captain Martin Townley and Lieutenant Michael Bello joined first responders from Sullivan County for the annual Uniformed Emergency Services Appreciation Dinner. Law enforcement, fire services and EMTs gathered to be recognized for their service and discussed ways to make that service even better.
The event was sponsored by Catskills Hatzalah at its Fallsburg facility. Catskills Hatzalah is a full-time organization providing emergency services to over 300 vacation colonies and summer camps spread across the Catskills region.
The volunteer ambulance service utilizes dispatching technology and a network of trained members to respond to medical emergencies.
