This picture was taken from what was called Eagle’s Rock, up above Peggy Runway Road. Here we see the land at the center of the Delaware River’s winding “horseshoe.” Known as the flats, here in 1930 it is virtually uninhabited, with few buildings. Eighty some years later it is a thriving part of the community. From the Ruth & J. Frank Behling collection.
