HURLEYVILLE, NY — The holiday-theme tree display at the Sullivan County Cultural Center & Museum will be on display starting with an open house on Saturday, December 2.
The Sullivan County Historical Society invited organizations, businesses and individuals to decorate a tree for display at the event. Trees could represent an organization, a business or an individual flight of fancy—and could celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah and/or Kwanzaa.
After you’ve admired the trees, don’t forget to visit the county museum, The museum is a three-story former school building owned and maintained by Sullivan County through the Department of Parks, Recreation and Beautification.
It houses the Sullivan County Historical Society and the Frederick A. Cook Society.
Meanwhile, that day you can also celebrate Holiday in Hurleyville from 12 noon to 5 p.m. There’ll be vendors, live music, a tree and menorah lighting, and more.
The museum is located at 265 Main St.
