County pantry system supports families in need

HONESDALE, PA — The Wayne County Food Pantry Program conducts monthly distributions of supplemental food items, including fresh local foods, at each of its locations.

The food pantry and those it serves benefit from donations to the Farm to Families Fund at the Wayne County Community Foundation. Your support goes directly to purchasing local eggs, milk and produce to supplement the pantry offerings.

If you need food, check the list below for the location of the closest pantry.

Damascus Pantry—Damascus Township Building, 60 Conklin Hill Rd., will serve registered families on Thursday, February 15 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Honesdale Pantry—Tri-County Beverage Building, 214 Willow Ave., will serve registered families on Tuesday, February 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Lakeville Pantry—Paupack Township Building, 25 Daniels Rd., will serve registered families on Thursday, February 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Lakewood Food Pantry—Northern Wayne Health Center, 412 Como Rd. in Lake Como, will serve registered families on Wednesday, February 21 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Newfoundland Area Pantry—Dreher Township Building, 899 Main St., will serve registered families on Friday, February 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
