Confronting the climate crisis through art

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — The Catskill Art Space will launch an exhibition of new work from Hovey Brock, Daniella Dooling and Valerie Hegarty, on view through Saturday, April 27 in the ground floor galleries.

The three artists examine the destruction of environmental change, offering a warning to audiences. “Amidst the devastation, the artists create a platform for dialogue between us to reduce that toll,” CAS wrote. “From those shared experiences can come community, and ways of responding collectively to the climate crisis.”

Exhibition hours are Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. During the show’s closing, on Saturday, April 27 at 4 p.m., the artists will participate in an Earth Day-inspired symposia on their practices and how those relate to the climate crisis.

Catskill Art Space is located at 48 Main St.
