Catskill Farms sells Ecotech Spray Foam Insulation

ELDRED, NY — Earlier this month, Catskill Farms construction company owner Charles Petersheim announced the sale of his five-year-old Ecotech Spray Foam Insulation, Inc. to Woodchips Construction, Inc. of Pine Bush, NY. Ecotech’s insulation is organic—free of HCFCs (hydrochlorofluorocarbons), VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and formaldehyde. The product is made of 29% recycled goods. In 2010, the firm won the Innovative Green Design Award (IGDA).

Petersheim praised Ecotech’s new owner, Rich Spoto, for his ability, energy and creativity. “I wish him the best of luck,” Petersheim said, in taking the company to “the next level.”

“Spray foam insulation is the foundation of all green-building technology,” said Spoto, describing Woodchips Construction’s purchase as “just making sense for both our customers and for us.”

Petershiem indicated he would continue to use Ecotech spray foam to insulate all of the homes he constructs because it helps dramatically cut heating costs for his Catskill Farms clients.
