CALLICOON, NY — All aboooooard!
The board of directors for the Callicoon Depot project is looking for volunteers of all stripes. All it takes is a little of your free time, and the results will last for years.
Volunteering at the depot means that you’re helping to create a community resource, committee members said.
And it’s a chance to work on a piece of local railroad history.
You can volunteer once, once in a while, or get involved long term. Everyone’s busy and the board understands.
The depot is seeking:
Designers, both interior and graphical
Landscape lovers and event planners
Local history fans and railroad buffs
Architects, bookkeepers and pro-bono counsel
People with social media and internet skills
Grant writers and grant administrators
And more!
The project also needs board members for two-year terms that start in 2024. Nominations (you can nominate yourself) are due on Monday, January 1.
