CALLICOON, NY — The Callicoon Depot is hosting a free community-wide event, titled “Tell Me Your Secret.”

The program invites local residents and visitors to the region to anonymously share their innermost secrets—their joys, sorrows, deceptions, hopes, despair and pride.

To date, 1,000 postcards have been distributed throughout the area. The cards can be deposited in the Callicoon Depot mail drop or into any traditional mailbox.

Throughout the summer, a rotating selection of secrets will be displayed in the large display case at the Depot.

The project was conceived and is being facilitated by Standing People Together.

The group is a local nonprofit that focuses on cooperative interchange. It is working with Callicoon Depot, Inc. (CDI).

CDI president Wendee Greene said, “Meaningful conversations and collaborations can happen only when we can really hear and understand each other. ‘Tell Me Your Secret’ will let people see how similar we all are, and allow participants to be vulnerable without fear of judgment. It’s a great place to start.”
