MILFORD, PA — The ARTery Gallery’s September exhibit, which opens on Thursday, September 12, is titled “Brush and Knife: Vibrant Visions in Oil and Acrylic.” An artists’ reception will be held 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, September 14 at the gallery.
The exhibit features painters Laura Lippay and Barbara Alice Moir. Their choice of painting tools and a variety of paint thicknesses make this show unique, a spokesperson said. “While many oil painters prefer to work either with brushes or with painting knives, Lippay and Moir seem comfortable using both styles of painting, affording them a wide range of textures and expressions on the canvas.”
Laura Lippay’s work inspires introspection and contemplation alongside playfulness, romanticism and sometimes even fortitude, the gallery notes.
The Lippay-Moir exhibit will be on display through Monday, October 7.
The ARTery Gallery is located at 210 Broad St.
