HAWLEY, PA — Tunes Along the Towpath 4, an outdoor concert, will take place at Glen Eyre Farms beginning at 1 p.m (gates open at 12 noon) on Saturday September 21.
The featured performers pay tribute to the Doors and Jefferson Airplane.
Attendees can wear hippie attire and should bring their own lawn chairs.
The event is B.Y.O.B. and food and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Tickets cost $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
The proceeds will benefit the Pike County Historical Society and will help fund exhibits and programs to celebrate the upcoming 200th anniversary of the opening of the D&H Canal.
Playing are Feast of Friends—one of few continuously active Doors tribute bands in the Northeast—and Reverend Jefferson, which honors Jefferson Airplane.
The historic events and issues that shaped the 1960s included the need to address the rights of minorities. These issues came to the forefront as an increasing number of primarily younger people broke free from the constraints of 1950s orthodoxy and struggled to create a more inclusive and tolerant social landscape.
Glen Eyre Farm is located at 495 Towpath Rd.
