That was one hell of a storm we had on Friday; my power went out at 11 a.m. on Friday. I counted to 13, and then my generator kicked in. I got a Generac generator from American Electric—the best thing I ever bought. Michael Jr. and Eric at American Electric installed it, and Cochecton Oil took care of my propane tank—that should last four days.

Yes, I was in Paris for a week, with my sister and brother in law. My cousins from England came over and surprised us. We had the best time ever, I went to an opera, "The Barber of Seville"—been there done that, never have to do it again. We saw the Eiffel Tower, the Mona Lisa, Notre Dame, and other churches and museum.
One of the fears my husband and I had when we moved up to Sullivan County was whether we would make friends.
It’s a little wet out there this weekend, all I can say is its better than snow. You do not have to shovel rain, hope no one flooded. Stay safe.
As I sit here writing my column it is snowing out. I just want to thank the Cochecton town crew for keeping our roads clear and safe.
Don’t ask. My sinus and ear are still in pain, so I’ll be going back to the doctor on Friday. In the months of February and March, I will be at the TownHall on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursays from 4 to 7 p.m. collecting taxes.
Hello, I hope you are all doing well. As for me, I still have an ear infection and sinus problem. Plus I have a cold, but I am doing OK; you have to keep on trucking.
Baby, it’s cold outside—more like freezing. I do not remember it being this cold for this long of a period. You have to dress in layers to stay warm. Thank you to the Cochecton road crew for keeping our roads safe.
Congratulations to Gertrude and Leonard Martin, who just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! All the best in 2018.
