HONESDALE, PA — The Wayne Memorial Hospital (WMH) Auxiliary presented a check for $150,000 to Wayne Memorial CEO James Pettinato during the health system’s annual volunteer luncheon, held at the Central House in Beach Lake.
Of the total amount donated, $65,000 satisfies the auxiliary’s pledge of $600,000 to the Second Century Fund.
Pettinato thanked the auxiliary for its generous gift and extended gratitude to all Wayne Memorial general and hospice volunteers as well as those who knit, make quilts, sew pillows/walker bags and fill Jared boxes. (Jared Boxes are boxes of small toys, games and other gifts that are given to sick children.)
“Every hour given, every talent shared” makes a significant impact on how Wayne Memorial delivers health care and continues to grow, Pettinato said.
