NARROWSBURG, NY — UPDATE: The Town of Tusten's Well #1 is back online.
Supervisor Ben Johnson told the River Reporter that the well went down because of a faulty pump, which was replaced and back in business mid-afternoon.
Earlier, the town asked residents of its Narrowsburg water district to conserve. The other two wells remained fully functional and supplied water to residents without a problem, said town clerk Crystal Weston.
Weston said the town did not issue a boil-water order. Residents received a code red alert earlier asking them to conserve and were to receive another alert when the repairs were completed, she said.
