JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — A Sullivan West fifth-grader enjoys Trout Release Day at the Jeffersonville campus on May 11. There were six different stations for students to visit at the event. A craftsman described how he made fish carvings out of wood; the National Park Service had an enviroscape table; and the students were able to try fly casting, fly tying and a variety of fish crafts. The highlight of the day was the release of trout in Callicoon Creek while listening to the music of Ira McIntosh with his “Twist and Trout” program provided by one of the Trout in the Classroom sponsors, The First National Bank of Jeffersonville.
