The Bagel Festival is back

Celebrating all things bagel in Monticello

MONTICELLO, NY — The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce and Bold Gold Media have teamed up again for the 12th annual Bagel Festival on Sunday, August 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
It's presented by Ellenville Regional Hospital and Thompson Sanitation.
This year the event has more vendors, more music, more cars and more bagels than ever before, a spokesperson said.
During the Bagel Festival, Broadway in Monticello—the street is known worldwide as "Bagel Boulevard"—will be closed, and over 150 vendors will line the street to showcase their products, programs, and food. New for 2024: the vendor section will extend all the way to Pleasant Street.

The Any Make Any Model Car Show, sponsored by King’s Collision, will have a larger area of the street to feature even more vehicles. Trophies are sponsored by Glen Smith Engineering.

Also new this year: on the Sullivan County Courthouse Lawn you can listen to the Bagel Festival Open Mic from 12 noon to 4 p.m., produced by local musicians Faith Kelly and Caswyn Moon.
At the Ethelbert B. Crawford Public Library, there will be a Kidz Zone, featuring a variety of fun kids' activities. It's held in partnership with Restoration Church.
The Monticello Bagel Bakery will have bagel activities and bagel merchandise available throughout the day.

The RadioBOLD Music Festival, produced by Bold Gold Media, will take place on the Fallsburg Lumber Fiberon Decking Stage. It will feature four returning local favorites: Far Beyond Gone, Somerville, Shades, The Electric Cords and—new this year—Misfit Toys.
Other family activities during the day include the Bagel Triathlon, hosted by Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, and the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts Scavenger Hunt.
It’s a full day of fun for all ages—and of course, there are bagels.

For those coming from out of town, check out rooms at the official resort of the Bagel Festival, the Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark, offering a Bagelfest special.  Vendor spaces are going fast, but you can still get a space if you act quickly.  If you are a local musician or artist and you want to showcase your talent, make sure to sign up for the Bagel Festival Open Mic.
