NARROWSBURG, NY — The streets of Narrowsburg were filled with black and yellow as visitors thronged to the Honey Bee Fest on September 24. Vendors offered beer, food, artwork and honey, and the festivities included a performance by the Wallenpaupack High School Marching Band (dressed in black and yellow), a costume contest, and a sound installation that blended recordings of bees with interviews about their relationship to humanity. There were even some honey bees in attendance—courtesy of the Lackawanna College beekeeping program.
