MONTICELLO, NY — Sullivan West Superintendent Stephen Walker announced on February 17 that a member of the middle school/high school staff had tested positive for COVID-19.
"Due to the timing of when the district was informed of the positive case, contact tracing of students and staff members who have been in prolonged contact with this staff member" could not be completed on February 17, according to a letter Walker sent to parents and guardians.
The district completed contact tracing on Thursday, February 18, contacting all staff and students who are believed to have had prolonged exposure to the positive case.
