HAWLEY, PA — The String Queens, a trio of musicians who turn pop hits into performances on violin, viola and cello, will perform at Harmony in the Woods at 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 18.
These classically trained musicians have played popular and classical songs at the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall.
The weekend also offers Tyler Reese Tritt at 6 p.m. on Friday, August 16, offering soulful echoes of country music inspired by her father, multi-award-winning country artist Travis Tritt.
Saturday, August 17 at 6 p.m. will bring more strings of a different genre: Cassie and Maggie’s Celtic-, folk- and Irish-flavored violin, guitar and vocals. The duo is multi-award-winning, including 17 Canadian Folk Music, East Coast Music Awards and Music Nova Scotia awards and nominations.
Meanwhile, the organizers at Harmony in the Woods would like to remind all concertgoers during this especially rainy summer that the routine is the same for their indoor location. The Dime Bank at Indian Orchard (formerly the Rusty Palmer showroom) provides an ideal environment in case of severe or persistent rain. Any venue change is announced on social media, and ticket buyers are notified. Just like the outdoor venue, chairs are provided, and the audience is welcome to bring its own picnics, including alcoholic beverages. But no bug spray required!
Unless weather moves the concerts inside, shows take place at Harmony In The Woods, 19 Imagination Way. Doors open 45 minutes prior to showtime. Ticket prices range, but the average price per ticket is $30 and includes a lawn chair. Attendees are encouraged to BYOB and dress for the outdoors.
