GLEN SPEY, NY — Music, dancing and good eating were enjoyed by all who attended the St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Catholic Church 11th annual parish feast day festival on August 5 and 6.
Varenyky (pierogi), holubtsi (stuffed cabbage), kapusta (sauerkraut) and kobasa (kielbassy) were among the delectable foodstuffs available for consumption.
Decked out in their beautifully embroidered finery, young and old alike rocked to both American and Ukrainian tunes, and the highlight was the folk dancing.
In addition to vendor kiosks, where Ukraine-themed items could be purchased, there were numerous opportunities to contribute to relief going directly to the Ukrainian people devastated by the ongoing war.
Slava Ukraini! Glory to Ukraine!
