HONESDALE, PA — On Friday, October 23, the 28th annual Wayne-Pike Shriners Bowl Classic pitted the home team Hornets of Honesdale High against their rivals, the Buckhorns of Wallenpaupack Area High School.
In the end, the visitors posted a dominating 35-6 win over the home team and recorded their first victory of this pandemic-shortened season of football.
At the close of the pigskin battle at the Daniel J. O’Neill Sports Complex, the Wayne-Pike Shriners handed out trophies to both teams and several outstanding players in recognition of their level of play and commitment to the spirit of sportsmanship.
