PIKE COUNTY, PA With the heat index predicted to reach the low 100s this week, it is important for older adults to have access to a safe and cool environment. Individuals identified as at-risk during times of high heat and humidity include those who are dependent on supplemental oxygen, have ambulatory challenges, live alone or have been diagnosed with other chronic conditions causing distress with extreme heat.

Blooming Grove Center is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Lackawaxen-Shohola Township Center is open Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
