ALBANY, NY — The New York State Public Service Commission granted homebuilders an additional year to complete their real estate projects; this in addition to the standard five-year development period. Developers were affected by the pause in construction that occurred March 23, 2020 through June 8, 2020. To offset that moratorium, the commission will now grant developers an additional year to complete developments that were directly affected by the construction moratorium and give them additional time for them to recoup deposits.
