CLARYVILLE, NY — Frost Valley YMCA and the Wallkill River Center for the Arts invite artists and art enthusiasts to Frost Valley in the Catskills Mountains from Friday, October 4 to Sunday, October 6 for a weekend retreat to paint en plein air.
This year’s retreat features painting instructors Laura Martinez-Bianco and William Noonan. This retreat is open to all levels of painters, including beginners.
Artists can reconnect their craft to the outside world, a spokesperson said. Guests can participate in plein air classes, horseback riding, nature hikes, craft classes and boating.
Guests will stay in the Forstmann Castle, an estate on the Frost Valley YMCA property. Registrations can be for a shared room or you can upgrade to a private room.
During this all-inclusive weekend, meals are provided, and as always, Frost Valley offers options to accommodate nutritional needs and restrictions of nearly every sort.
