New Spark Grant opportunities for Sullivan County teens

SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — The Grace Johansen Foundation has launched its new Spark Grant program, offering local teens a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in their communities.

These small project grants, up to $250 each, are available to Sullivan County residents under age 21 for initiatives that benefit their school, neighborhood, town or other community spaces.

The grant encourages young leaders to think creatively and take action to address local needs. Whether it’s starting a service project, organizing a community event, or contributing to the arts or environment, students have the freedom to pursue a wide range of impactful ideas.

“Never underestimate the energy that young people have to drive meaningful change,” said Leif Johansen, founder and president of the Grace Johansen Foundation. “This grant is designed to be the nudge that brings some of their ideas off the page and into our community.”

Those interested in applying and learning more can do so at www.gracejohansenfoundation.org/spark/. The application deadline is Friday, November 1.

The Grace Johansen Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Sullivan County, NY. Its mission is to promote and support youth community engagement in the Catskills and Upper Delaware Regions.
