National Health Center Week honored in Wayne County

HONESDALE, PA — Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) was presented with a proclamation from the Wayne County Commissioners declaring August 4–10 as National Health Center Week.

During the presentation, the commissioners acknowledged WMCHC for its sustainability and growth in meeting the health care needs of residents across the county as well as its contribution as a significant employer within the region.  

WMCHC is a federally qualified health center with 19 office sites across four counties. It is a clinical affiliate of Wayne Memorial Health System, Inc.  Services include primary care, women’s health, pediatrics, podiatry, dental and behavioral health as well as walk-in care for non-life-threatening medical needs.
