The punk and post-punk years

Posted

NARROWSBURG, NY — Musicians from the Catskills and Upper Delaware River Valley will perform at the Tusten Theater starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 26.

Proceeds will assist Ramona Jan as she undergoes treatment for Stage 3 cervical cancer. Suggested admission is $30 at the door.

The performance will cover a retrospective of songs written by Jan. Acclaimed jazz pianist and vocalist Kazzrie Jaxen will interpret the Punk Years. Andre Turan, Roger Brinkerhoff, Shawn Bailey and Carolyn Verdi will perform the Post-Punk Years.

Greg Triggs will emcee.

Jan, described as a dynamic and familiar presence in the Upper Delaware River Valley, has a long career as an  artist, writer, newspaper columnist, puppeteer and as founder/director of Yarnslingers—the writers who tell fantastic true stories.

“Now she’s determined to work her way back to health and she needs your help,” a spokesperson said.
