JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — When push came to shove in the opening round of sectional play, as the Sullivan West Lady Bulldogs took on the Lady Spartans of Spackenkill on Monday, May 20, Sullivan West making 10 errors didn’t help their cause. At the end of the game, Spackenkill was error-free as they defeated the Lady Bulldogs 17-5.
The Lady Spartans posted five runs in the opening frame, while at their turn at bat, Sullivan West responded by sending three runners across the plate.
In the second inning, Spackenkill added two more to their tally, and the Lady Bulldogs sent one runner home.
The third frame was scoreless. In the following inning, the Lady Bulldogs added a run, but as the game progressed that was it for Sullivan West as their bats took a snooze.
