WAYNE COUNTY, PA — The Hustings is a photo essay that chronicles the path to the election in one county in a battleground state.
It began on August 28, as visitors stopped by the campaign headquarters for both major parties on Main Street in historic Honesdale.
The Hustings will be a weekly feature in print and online documenting the presidential campaigns in Wayne County during what might be one of the most contentious elections in U.S. history. The name reflects the definition: the campaigning associated with an election.
Cynthia Nash will look at what makes us the same and what makes us different, to help inspire civility, respect and communication between seemingly separated individuals and groups. The project, in the end, celebrates our shared humanity. Visit riverreporter.com for photos from the Democratic and Republican headquarters.
