HRC explores expanded recycling, shredding

Posted

WAYNE AND PIKE COUNTIES, PA — For over 50 years, Human Resources Center (HRC) has provided supported employment and job training for individuals with disabilities.

The organization currently offers cardboard collection and shredding services; the cardboard and documents are collected at business locations by HRC clients, providing job training.

The collected items are transport to HRC’s secure site for shredding and recycling, and the date of destruction is included on every invoice.

HRC is now exploring an expansion of that service.

Free pick-up of clean corrugated cardboard and/or non-confidential office paper is now being scheduled for local businesses, professional offices and organizations in Wayne and Pike counties.

Weekly, every other week, or monthly pick-ups are available.

Collection containers can be provided if needed.

A mobile service is also being considered.

If your business or group might be interested, visit HRC’s Facebook page, Human Resources Center, Inc., and take the survey.

HRC is located at 294 Bethel School Rd. in Honesdale.

To learn more about current services, visit www.hrcmfg.com or www.hrcinc.org.
