HONESDALE, PA — Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance has announced the grand opening of its newest initiative, the Youth Corner, on Thursday, February 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance.

This dedicated space is designed to empower and engage young people by providing valuable resources and opportunities to develop essential work skills, the alliance said. The platform aims to foster the professional growth of young individuals in the Wayne Pike community.

This initiative underscores Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders and workers, the alliance added.

Key features of the Youth Corner include:

A work-skills practice zone. The Youth Corner offers a safe and encouraging environment for young talent to hone essential work skills, such as interviewing techniques and resume building. This interactive space provides hands-on experience to boost confidence and readiness for the job market.

Self-serve resources. Youth can access a wealth of self-serve resources, including online tools, guides and workshops tailored to their specific needs.

Enclosed 3D printer. As part of the Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance’s commitment to embracing cutting-edge technology, the organization said, the Youth Corner features an enclosed 3D printer. This addition allows young people to explore and experiment with innovative technologies, promoting creativity and a passion for learning.

The Youth Corner is housed at the Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance, 107 8th St.
