HONESDALE, PA — Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) has welcomed board-certified family physician Neda Danniel, M.D. to the staff. Dr. Danniel will treat patients of all ages at the Highland Physicians Family Health Center in Honesdale.
By practicing at WMCHC—designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center and Patient Center Medical Home, recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance—Dr. Danniel can combine coordinated person-focused care and the rural medicine for which she was trained.
“I truly believe patient non-compliance is often a reflection of limited resources or possibly full comprehension of the recommendation for care. By building relationships, I can understand the barriers my patients face and then work to achieve the best overall outcomes,” she said.
Dr. Danniel completed a family medicine residency at Alleghany Health Network in Erie after earning her medical degree from the American University of Integrative Sciences, School of Medicine. She also holds a master’s degree in health care administration from Davenport University in Grand Rapids, MI, and is a graduate of Lehigh University in Bethlehem.
She was raised in Susquehanna County.
Both new patients and those transferring care from another facility can call Highland Physicians Family Health Center at 570/251-6500 to request an appointment. Dr. Danniel’s schedule will open beginning August 12.
Most private insurance, managed care plans, Medicare and medical assistance are accepted. A sliding-fee scale is also offered for those who qualify.
WMCHC is a federally qualified health center clinically affiliated with Wayne Memorial Health System, Inc. For more information about WMCHC and all of its services, visit www.wmchc.net or call 570/253-8390.
