UPPER DELAWARE REGION — The Delaware Highland Conservancy announces its second annual juried photo contest for the Upper Delaware River region, open to both amateur and professional photographers. The chosen, award-winning pieces will be exhibited at the ARTery Gallery in Milford, PA in November.
The conservancy invites photographers to capture and submit their nature-inspired photos of the region in four categories: landscape, wildlife, water and macro images. Seeking to showcase the diverse wildlife, plants and special places in the Upper Delaware Valley, the exhibit is a visible display of the conservancy’s mission of saving these treasures for future generations.
Submissions will be judged on creativity, originality, composition, clarity, quality and impact by a panel of judges: art curator Nancy Kiesendahl Bolch, art-museum director Mary Sue Sweeney Price, nature photographer David B. Soete and photography book publisher Marta Hallett.
Submissions will be accepted until August 31. The exhibit’s opening reception at the ARTery Gallery will be on November 9.
