BETHEL, NY — The Town of Bethel is updating its comprehensive plan to guide sustainable growth, enhance cultural identity, and protect natural and cultural resources.
The comprehensive plan should reflect the vision and needs of the community. Residents, landowners and business owners are invited to provide input at an open house to be held from 12 noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 2 at the Duggan School, 3460 State Rte. 55, White Lake.
Attendees can visit different stations at the open house to discuss strengths and challenges and learn about the planning process. Refreshments will be provided.
In 2023, the NYS Environmental Protection Fund awarded grant funds for this update, and the town board appointed a volunteer advisory committee to assist.
Officials say the town will provide additional opportunities for public input will follow.
