Attentive appreciation

Posted

“To the attentive eye, each moment of the year has its own beauty, and in the same field, it beholds, every hour, a picture which was never seen before, and which shall never be seen again,” wrote 19th-century American poet, philosopher and essayist, Ralph Waldo Emerson.

As we enter the final hours of 2016 and crest the uncertain horizon in 2017, it seems appropriate to celebrate the ephemeral instances of beauty we are blessed with here in the Upper Delaware River region every day. Wishing all of our readers a new year filled with such moments.
