LIBERTY, NY — The Career and Technical Education Center at Sullivan BOCES proudly inducted 71 students into the National Vocational Technical Honor Society (NTHS). 

Induction into the NTHS is a significant achievement for any career and technical education student, a BOCES spokesperson explained.

The evening commenced with Jeffrey Molusky, executive principal of the Career & Tech Center at Sullivan BOCES, extending a warm welcome to attendees and acknowledging the remarkable accomplishments of the students. Each student has demonstrated remarkable effort and aptitude in their chosen trade.

During the ceremony, students Jillian Carlson from Livingston Manor CSD, Sarah Gorr from Roscoe CSD, Rachel Yusko from Sullivan West CSD, Ralph Cherubino from Livingston Manor CSD, Nicholas Foley from Tri-Valley CSD and Sanna Woytowick from Monticello CSD elaborated on the significance of the NTHS and its components, including its purpose, colors, emblem, insignia and slogan.

Debra Heidt Dunwell, one of the chapter advisors, also highlighted the benefits of the National Technical Honor Society, emphasizing its seven pillars: leadership, scholarship, skills, honesty, citizenship, service and responsibility. These aid students in becoming positive role models and honing leadership skills, she said.

Molusky, who is also the NTHS advisor, concluded the ceremony by congratulating the inductees on their hard work and their installation into the National Technical Honor Society. "This is an honor that you will carry with you throughout your education and career," he said.
