Snow clean up continues in Narrowsburg, NY

Storm cleanup still underway

REGION — Our area was hit hard by snow storm Stella, dumping around 20 to 30 inches. According to weather.com, the highest snow total in New York is 42 inches in West Winfield, and in Pennsylvania 34.5 inches in Oakland.

BARRYVILLE, NY — The River Reporter celebrated the winners of this year’s BEST Readers’ Choice Awards at Zac’s Wilderness Lounge at the Catskill Mountains Resort on March 9. The party was attended by many local businesses and community members who were voted best in their categories by the readers of this newspaper.

Three-month Rte. 97 detour soon

GLEN SPEY, NY — The news from the Lumberland Town Board’s 35-minute March 8 meeting that will impact the most people was probably Supervisor Jenny Mellan’s announcement of a New York Department of Transportation (DOT) notification of an upcoming detour on State Route 97 for the replacement of the Shingle Kill Bridge in Sparrowbush.
