Fritz takes office in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, PA — Former Wayne County Commissioner Jonathan Fritz travelled to Harrisburg this week to be sworn in as a new member of the state House of Representatives to serve a district comprised of large parts of Wayne and Susquehanna counties.  The district offices are in Montrose and Honesdale

Cochecton man still missing

COCHECTON, NY — The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate Lawrence Molinaro, age 76, of Cochecton, NY. Molinaro was reported missing by his relatives on December 29, 2016, after he missed a doctor’s appointment at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. He was last seen on December 27 by a neighbor.

Body of Eldred man found

ELDRED, NY — State police said the body of a 68-year-old man from Eldred was found on January 3, in a small brook along State Route 55 in the Town of Highland.

Troopers had been searching for Lloyd Parker the previous day, after he was last seen walking the area on December 30, across the bridge from Shohola, PA to Barryville.

HONESDALE, PA — The Derrick family of Hawley rang in the new year with a new addition to their family. Little Greyson was born at 3:36 p.m. on January 1, 2017 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces and stretched 17¼ inches long.
