JACKSONVILLE, FL — Students in the marching band at Honesdale High School in Pennsylvania joined members of marching bands from Brunswick High School and Cicero-North Syracuse High School in New York, Apex High School in North Carolina, Williamsburg High School in Ohio, Oscar Smith High School in Virginia and Habersham High School in Georgia to perform at the halftime show at the 2016 Tax Slayer Bowl in Jacksonville, FL on December 31, 2016.

The bands were invited to play, and  students and their families picked up the cost of the trip.

The TaxSlayer Bowl is an annual college football bowl game, dating back to 1946. Originally dubbed the Gator Bowl, it has been held continuously at EverBank Field in Jacksonville. The TaxSlayer Bowl is the sixth oldest college bowl in the country and the first one to be televised.
