MONTICELLO, NY — The Monticello Rotary Club 39th annual Monster Run Classic will be held on Sunday, August 5. The event is run by Monticello Rotary as part of Sullivan County Patriot’s Day, and the proceeds will benefit the Sullivan County Veterans Coalition.

The race consists of 5k and 10k running and 5k walk events. The challenging course can be viewed at https://youtu.be/lpL2UqFHvzM. In addition, health, wellness and running-related businesses will have information and free screenings on site, and there will be raffles, door prizes and an auction.

Monticello Rotary Club President Lori Orestano-James said, “Too many of our veterans need assistance with heating, food, transportation for medical serves, rent and mortgage assistance... Monticello Rotary is glad to sponsor this race to raise awareness and funds, as a way of giving back to those who served and are currently serving.”
